I am writing to thank you for the amazing StudyBed, which was fitted into the spare bedroom of my two bed flat this week. I am absolutely delighted with it. The men who fitted it were delightful; calm, efficient and expert at the job. Everyone who has visited me since, has been really impressed by the effectiveness of the desk, which transforms so quickly into a Double bed. The attention to detail is inspiring, including an easy way to turn the mattress when necessary; the mattress incidentally is excellent  -   firm but very comfortable. I would just like to say how pleased we are with these purchases. We have now had three of these beds for well over a year in three of our care homes and I must say they are still as good as the day we bought them, despite the heavy usage that they get.

They are used for sleeping on every night by our sleep in staff and are slept on each night by a different staff member. During the day they are used by the manager/staff in the desk option for the paperwork and administration that is required in the home.

The fact that they come with an option to have additional matching storage is another bonus and an option that we took up in two of our homes that have greater restriction with space.

This piece of furniture has enabled us to easily and comfortably use our rooms flexibly, in order to provide, suitable, durable and comfortable sleeping in bed for our staff to use at night time and then, with one easy movement, allow staff to transform the furniture to the desk complete with a computer already set up, for the office facility that is required in the care home during the day.

We could not be more pleased with the product and look forward to receiving the new bed in the New Year.

My husband and I are absolutely delighted with our new StudyBed fitted with such professionalism by Ron & Kev on Saturday. When we woke and saw the snow my heart sank, but of course it wasn’t a jot on the scale of last years whiteout and didn’t deter your intrepid delivery duo. The boys kindly rang ahead of their arrival and gave me an ETA, they were clean and tidy workers and a pleasure to have in our home.
The job was done in a flash and our small room has now been transformed from a little single guest room to a double bedded spare room with a fabulous space for my husband to retreat to study when he retires next summer and considers the challenge of an Open University Degree.
Although this is a considered purchase, the quality is superb and of course not only have we acquired a double guest bed, but a study area and storage room for books, files and an assortment of computer paraphernalia. I love the fact that our top box goes right to the ceiling too, no room for dust to gather and more storage space!

I would like to reiterate how pleased we are with the bed. We had looked at it on your website but didn’t go ahead as it doesn’t do it justice, especially as it is a significant purchase. By luck we won a family ticket for the idea home exhibition, and there was your stand. I only now wish I had a before and after photo of his room but it was always so small and messy there are no photos. Now my son has a floor to play on, his own little haven. The two gentleman who came helped us decide the best place to put the bed and were amazingly quick at installing and then demonstrating, explaining about where wires etc should go. For anyone thinking about this I would highly recommend the bed as it was the only option before a loft conversion, which thankfully now isn’t necessary. Our son is just turning to 9 and probably a rarity as he makes his bed in the morning now.

As a minor point for the future based on our experience, StudyBed should try and persuade people to buy a mattress that you recommend/sell when ordering.  We now have the small nuisance of trying to sell ours.  We did buy the right spec in dimensions etc but as your employees have shown me our Health Mattress has not got as much give as other types, so therefore our mattress didn’t like being folded up!

 Thank you for your un biased guidance and advice in the showroom end of December 2010 covering the different ranges and finishes. Really best in class service which informed me to make the right choice (and same conclusion from previously looking at your well laid out web site!).   I purchased the single bed with Top Box for the smallest room (220 x 210 cm – 7 ft 2 by 6 ft 10 approximate) and you arranged delivery to suit my requirements and the installation guys were great, installing quickly and with lots of handy tips for m

 The bed/top box is light oak and looks fantastic, it sits very well in the room and makes the room appear more spacious than before! This is a great feature of your excellent overall design. Functionally the bed is very easy to use, taking seconds to convert and the Top Box provides very deep storage and I use it daily as a desk.

When a friend came to stay, this time rather than taking the storage boxes etc off the top of the bed, I converted the study bed in seconds and he had a great night’s sleep on it improved from the previous bed which is a good compliment as I am using the mattress from the previous bed in the Study Bed. The bed is well engineered and built to last and I have had very favorable comments from all who view and use it.

I first saw one of your beds being demonstrated on one of the tv “Home make over” Programmes, and thought it was a brilliant concept. When I moved to my present address, I down sized and lost one bedroom, meaning that my spare room had to become both a guest bedroom and an office. I remembered seeing your bed on the programme and went on your website, which convinced me to purchase one of your beds, as it seemed to answer my problem.

I have not been disappointed. The bed is a great piece of furniture and it looks great in the room. It is so easy to change from a desk to a bed and I love the idea, that you don’t need to take anything off the desk, when you change it into a bed.

It´s nearly 6 weeks since my son has had his studybed, and I am so happy with my investment. I have lived at my address for nearly 10 years now and I have wasted so much time and money on 6 different beds for his room, ranging from a high rise bed, to a specially built bed on the wall, to a sofa bed etc, none of which worked in the space- in fact I think it may be the smallest room in the whole of North London, measuring 10ft long and 6ft wide. “Ben, where have you been for the last 10 years – why didn’t I know about you, I could of saved myself a heck of a lot of money”.

The only disadvantage is now, I hardly see my son, as he is forever in his room, but I can see that he is proud of it has everyone that comes round he takes them in his room first and gives them a demonstration – I think this has been the highlight of his summer holiday, because we were meant to go on holiday but, we used the money for the study bed instead and it was worth every penny. He now has a very comfortable room, and he loves having his friends over now.

My son would like to tell you more,

As you know my name is Kadeem, and I am 13 years of age. Since I have got my studybed my room feels a lot more spacious and I love the idea of not taking anything from the desk before converting into bed mode. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the top boxes storage space – I didn’t realise that it was so big! I’m able to put all of my trinkets/books in the two cupboards and display various things on the shelves in between. The StudyBed has been incredibly comfortable, so much so that I have been in no rush to switch back to my own room, following the departure of my guests. I want to thank you and your team for doing what it took to get the bed here in time for my guest visit.

At one point once my guests tried the bed, it was a fight for who was going to have it. The transition between desk and bed is a breeze. I think its almost sinful to use it just as a desk when there is a terrific sleep just a few movements below.

I am delighted with the service you offered and with the studybed. It was a tight-fit but the chaps worked really well to assemble it in a tight space and it looks like a piece of fitted furniture. It makes excellent use of the space so that the room is a well appointed study for me when I’m working.and a lovely bedroom for my daughter when she is here.it is like having an extra room.

The desk is an attractive piece of furniture in its’ own right and very solid. The mechanism is very simple to use, and my daughter (9) can manage the transition on her own. I’m glad I went for top-box as this complements the studybed and gives valuable storage space for my papers and somewhere for Abigail to keep her books and soft toys on the shelves.

No amount of advertising can do this study bed justice. It is fantastic; the space we now have is great, and the storage top box holds so much that I hardly recognise my son’s room anymore… its SO tidy. Worth every penny !

I’m only sorry I’ve wasted money trying other beds. This is definitely a long lasting, pass-me-down piece of furniture as my son is so proud of it. He boasts to all his friends.

What can I say but FANTASTIC!!!

I am writing this whilst sat at my new desk in my new office/bedroom which is 12′ x 6′ in size, to sing the praises of the Studybed. For anybody thinking about purchasing I can highly recommend the space saving concept of the Studybed. Before purchasing the Studybed my “office” was a small alcove in the back lounge – not ideal, especially when starting up a small business which I have recently done. In addition, when my son comes home from Uni for Christmas it will serve as a bedroom for him whilst still retaining my office space in the daytime and I don’t have to move anything off the desk. It’s quite amazing that in this small room I have a desk the size of a single bed that has on it a computer, a printer, a set of filing trays a lamp and other office related items. Also, along the top of the Studybed I have several box files and lever arch files which are easily accessible.

As for the Studybed company the service I received was first class. Ordering was smooth and you answered all my questions Ben. I was kept fully informed regarding delivery, and the guys setting it up, Steve and John, were brilliant.

I have no hesitation in recommending the Studybed, and have already done so to several people.

I have been meaning to drop you a line for over a wk now. I am back from my travels and wow! The bed is fantastic! I didn’t appreciate just how much work space there would be, it’s amazing. I am sitting at the desk right now typing this e-mail and have so much space around me. I currently have 3 laptops, a phone, a hub and I still have space for random paperwork! I recently painted the room and installed some book shelves and it all looks really good. Word is spreading and when I have visitors they are all desperate to see “The Bed”. Thank you so much, it’s been one of my most inspired purchases and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is short on space and looking for an ingenious piece of engineering as a solution. I still find myself pulling it down into a bed, just because I can! I stand back and admire it every time, I am still a little in awe of how clever and simple it is. The bed will be road tested over New Year when I have some friends up to stay.

Also, I am not sure what you did to my mother, but she still talks about “those nice boys that built The Bed”.

Hope business continues to go well! I don’t know how anyone could fail to appreciate this amazing product.

This thank you letter is well over-due, as we have had our Study Bed for 6 months now, so it’s been well tried and tested!

My son, Will, aged 11, has the smallest bedroom in the world and I thought the only option was his high sleeper with a cramped desk underneath. I’m so glad to have been off sick and watching ’60 Minute Makeover’ that morning back in March. When I saw the Study Bed I went straight to your website, measured up, contacted you and placed the order.

After a quick lick of paint the bedroom was ready. The two installers were quick and efficient, even though they were working in the smallest room they’d ever installed in. They even repositioned the wardrobe to complete the room.

Will was over the moon with his new bed and had such fun arranging all his ‘stuff’ in the top box and shelves. It has changed his life! He now can’t wait to go to bed, as he doesn’t have to climb a wooden ladder any more. Arguments getting him to do his homework are a thing of the past, as his desk has acres of space for laptop and books etc. When he brings friends home, his Study Bed is the first thing he shows them. It’s changed my life too, as I no longer have to go mountaineering to change his bedding!!

I can honestly recommend your Company and this product. The Study Bed is such a sturdy, practical and innovative item of furniture. Even after 6 months the wood fills the room with a gorgeous aroma.
