We’ve had a single study bed for a long time (maybe 10 years – don’t remember exactly).
I can honestly say it is one of the best things we have ever bought – especially now with Covid I am hybrid working. I have the desk and can quickly convert it to a bed when someone is staying – and back again when I need to work.
